Sun and Sea in China Sanya Hainan China Vlog
What does a summer holiday in China look like? This is what I set out to answer in this edition of Shy Guy Travel in China. This was our national holiday trip for some sun, sea and … ostriches.
Sanya is a coastal resort city on Hainan, the province/island at the south of China. The first stop is Yalong Bay Resort, a mountain nature park with a spectacular view of the bay. Traveling on national holiday week you must expect immense crowds, and this time was no exception despite the fact that it was pissing it down.
Turns out Chinese people like to go on a cheeky holiday as much as the rest of us. As far as seaside resorts go, Sanya has the lot: beaches, watersports, expensive food and drink, bars and clubs. I found it just fine. It was great to get away, and grab the last bit of good weather before the long Chinese winter.
